The Rhythm Room

The place in Dallas for Ballroom Dancing, Swing and Salsa!

Dance with confidence and ease. We make learning to ballroom dance as easy as walking. We teach a social style of dance (non-competative) designed to make you look and feel relaxed on the dance floor.

Choose from private lessons, group classes or a combination of the two. Come by yourself or with a partner.

Swing Dance Group Classes-Classes will resume February 4, 2008.

Our lessons are designed to suit individual or couple's specific needs. Whether you're getting ready for a special event, looking for a fun way to get in shape or want to make new friends, learning to ballroom dance or swing dance is a great way to do it.

Unlike other ballroom dance studios, we do not require long-term contracts. Our pricing structure is upfront and easy to understand.

Give the gift of dance. Dancing is fun, it's great excercise and it's better than sitting around watching TV.

Elaine has been a consultant for the Dallas/Fort Worth production Rite of Swing. She also choreographed for Kitchen Dog Theater's 2003 production of Heaven and Plano Repertory's 2004 production of the musical Swing!, as well as performing in the show.

In addition to teaching in DFW, she has taught at workshops around the country including the St. Louis Tap Festival, American Lindy Hop Championship, Oakland Swing Festival, Swing Out New Hampshire, New England Swing Dance Championship, Great Southwest Lindy Fest and Austin Swing Riot.

In late 2000, after extensive studying of Salsa in Miami, Elaine began teaching the famed 1950's Cuban dance, Salsa Rueda. One thing lead to another, and Elaine finally merged Swing and Salsa Rueda into a new social dance called Swing Rueda.
